Children’s Charity Australia & Easy Consulting

The Easy Consulting team wanted to share a little about what we’ve been up to with a little help from… you! Did you know that 1 in 6 Australian children and young people are living in poverty? For a developed country that statistic is quite shocking! Thanks to you putting your trust in us, Easy Consulting has been able to support a couple of Children’s Charity in Australia – The Smith Family and Gold Coast Homeless Youth Inc. As we know the formation of every human being starts at home… if a family receives a low income, this can begin a cycle of disadvantage. Their children receive a poorer education, difficulty getting a job, which leads to poorer overall life outcomes. It’s my pleasure to tell you that this year we started supporting an amazing young girl through The Smith Family

Her name is Maci, she is 5 years old and is now in pre-school. With your help she can get a better quality life and better education. We are helping her by ensuring she has the right school essentials, as well as support and mentoring from trained professionals in the field.

Maci says:

“After school and on weekends, my favourite thing to do is go to Nanny’s because Nanny plays Barbie’s with me. She lets me wear her high heels & she straightens my hair.”

Maci’s favourite subject at school is sign language, why? “because I like it!” she says. One day she would like to be Wonder Woman, because “I do!“.

She seems like quite a cool little human. As well as young Maci, we have helped put a smile on the faces of some young Gold Coaster’s who were homeless. We recently dropped off a donation of quality men’s and women’s clothes to The Gold Coast Project For Homeless Youth. These can be used for school & job interviews, as well as feeling comfortable and confident in themselves.

Gold Coast Project for Homeless Youth Inc. supports young people aged 16-25 years who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. GCPHY offers immediate accommodation (16-18 years), transitional accommodation (16-19 years) and external support (16-25 years). They also support young people engage, or re-engage, in education or employment.

As the African proverb goes, it takes a village to raise a child. Thank you for being part of breaking the cycle of homelessness. GCPHY are always on the lookout for good quality clothing as well as toiletries & accessories that the rest of us take for granted. If you’re looking to help out some young people in need this Christmas, get in touch with these guys and make a donation.  “Giving is not just about making a donation. It is about making a difference”. Without your support of Easy Consulting this wouldn’t be possible so thanks again!
